The system has three parts, just like the systems drawn on pages 78 and 90. In the diagram above we have named the parts as force sensor, microcontroller and display. We can understand the system without knowing anything about force sensors, microcontrollers or displays. We know what each part does, even though we do not know how it does it. This is described later in the book.
