ABSTRACT
Background The Building Regulations 2000 as amended by the Building Amendment Regulations 2001 (SI 2001/3335) replaced the Building Regulations 1991 (SI 1985 No. 1065). Since then, a series of Approved Documents have been endorsed by the Secretary of State that are intended to provide guidance to some of the more common building situations. They also provide a practical guide to meeting the requirements of Schedule 1 and Regulation 7 of the Building Regulations.
