Tactical Productivity Strategies
This chapter will revisit some of the information previously presented in Chapter 3 of the text to provide an overview of tactical strategies used by managers at all levels of service enterprise organizations. We will then discuss the skills of performing management diagnostics and interventions. Next, we will consider diagnostics and interventions applied to enhancing productivity. We already know that value-added managers (VAM) are those who enhance productivity levels within work units departments, and divisions of service enterprises. This is done incrementally in small steps taken every day to improve resource utility, streamline transformation processes and improve the quality and quantity of outputs.
