ABSTRACT

A method statement precedes preparation of the project programme and contains the detail necessary for construction of each element of a building. It is prepared from information contained in the contract documents † see page 20. It also functions as a brief for site staff and operatives in sequencing activities,

indicating resource requirements and determining the duration of each element of construction. It complements construction programming by providing detailed analysis of each activity.
