ABSTRACT

When testing for protective conductor resistance, parallel paths caused by other circuits or extraneous conductive parts such as pipework, may give optimistically low values. is may mislead those testing into believing that the protective conductor under test is continuous and soundly connected. is is of particular signicance with protective bonding conductors which should be disconnected before testing.
