ABSTRACT
Volunteer tourism represents a relatively new concept in tourism combining volunteering and travelling. People travel to other places, mainly developing countries, to work in projects to alleviate the deficiencies of local communities or the environment (Wearing, 2001). Along with an enormous increase in the number of organizations and projects offered, volunteer tourism recently became the focus for many researchers.
