ABSTRACT
The skills of the raid team commander should include the ability to communicate clearly and experience planning and executing raids. The raid team commander should maintain control of the team members and oversee their functions. The search team must be trained in search and evidence recovery methods. The recovery and processing of the evidence is a very important aspect of the case and can lead to a discharge of the case if handled improperly. The search team responsibilities are many, including photographing or taking videos of evidence as it is found; and identifying, recording, and recovery of the evidence and documents that are to be seized. The search team members are responsible for gathering all evidence and documents for transportation to the holding facility. Criminals have a tendency to attempt to hide their wealth in objects such as rare coins and jewelry and other items that they feel will hold value.
