ABSTRACT

The need for balance in sex education is illustrated by the story of the boy who returned from school one day and asked his father, ‘Where did I come from?’ The father had prepared for such a day and lost no time in taking out the facts of life books and explaining the answer to the boy’s question. It suddenly dawned on the father that his son was looking rather confused and he asked what had prompted his question. ‘I was just curious dad,’ replied the lad ‘because we had a new boy in class today and he said he came from Liverpool.’
