Pond Problems and Solutions: Applying Lake Management Techniques to Ponds

Lakes and ponds have much in common. They both support the incredibly interesting world of aquatic life, as well as the frustrating conditions produced from excessive nutrients, algae, plants, and roughfish (see Table 7.1). Both lakes and ponds have the same components in their food webs and they react to nutrient inputs in similar ways. The same management methods used on big water bodies can be used on small water bodies.
