ABSTRACT
Introduction Chapter 2 presented data suggesting that severe problems exist in medications use, especially in ambulatory care. Chapter 3 described a model to explain how preventable drug-related mortality (PDRM) can happen. Chapter 4 discussed the objectives of medications use. Other fundamentals are necessary for a critical understanding of medications use.
