ABSTRACT
Aromatic amines represent one of the most important classes of industrial and environmental chemicals. They have a wide variety of uses in many industries, including the manufacture of polymers, rubber, agricultural chemicals, dyes and pigments, pharmaceuticals, and photographic chemicals. Many aromatic amines have been reported to be powerful carcinogens, mutagens, or hemotoxicants. Exposure to aromatic amines occurs in various industrial and agricultural activities as well as in tobacco smoking. Moreover, several types of aromatic amines are generated during cooking.
