ABSTRACT
The BB gun or air rifle seems to be disappearing from the American scene. This could be because of the fairly minimal hazard it represented or a general reluctance to accept the gun as a toy in our current society. The BB gun was a little of both. The sale of air guns is restricted in some U.S. jurisdictions. The Daisy Company will no longer ship a BB gun to anyone under 21 years of age, and the buyer must certify that it is a legal purchase where he lives.
