Moorer, Thomas H. (1912–2004) US:

Admiral. He was the only US naval officer in history to have served as both CNO and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He was C-in-C Pacific Fleet, 1964-65, during the beginning of the Vietnam War.
