ABSTRACT
This chapter of the book is devoted to investigations on the processing of heavy crude oil residues. There are many processes already used in the oil industry for this purpose, but usage of the existing or developed processes has not been based on economic justifications all the time, because of the presence of asphaltene in heavy crude oil or residue (see section 8.1).
