ABSTRACT

A highly instrumented system has been developed in our laboratory to approach the question of the whiplash injury mechanism (Panjabi et al., 1997). This model employs osteo-ligamentous human cadaveric cervical spines, and a specially developed trauma apparatus which simulates rear -end car collisions (Figure 12.1).
