ABSTRACT
Femoral fractures represent 5% of all fractures in children, are generally mid-shaft, and treated by traction or stabilization in a hip spica. However, some femoral fractures are more challenging to manage and warrant special consideration. Under the age of 2 years, 70% are associated with non-accidental injury (NAI). Fractures of the femur are classified by site.
