ABSTRACT
Spinal cord trauma is a catastrophic event, with a prevalence of 5 per 100000 population. The mechanism of injury is RTA 50%, falls 20% and sport 20%, varying with age. Associated injuries include head injury 10%, chest injury 20% and multiple skeletal injuries 25%.
