ABSTRACT
Chapter 11 addressed pool boiling on plates and circular tubes, in which, the generated vapor is removed from the surface by the departing bubbles. However, this is not the case for convective vaporization. For example, for vaporization within a tube the generated vapor is contained within the tube, and it affects the local heat transfer coefficient via the flow pattern.
