Considerable data exist for single-phase forced convection flow over rough surfaces. Data exist for six different flow geometries:
Flat plates
Circular tubes
Noncircular channels in gas turbine blades
Longitudinal flow in rod bundles
Annuli having roughness on the outer surface of the inner tube
Flow normal to circular tubes
