The goal is one, namely freedom for all. … We realise that for the African this is only a beginning of a long struggle entailing great sacrifice of time, means and even life itself. To the African people the [UN Declaration of Human Rights] is a challenge to organise and unite themselves under the mass liberation movement, the African National Congress.
