ABSTRACT
Talking to a group sitting down is very different to talking to a group walking around; it can often be much more successful. Arranging ‘gallery talks’ on different subjects, perhaps at lunchtime or in the evenings so that local workers can attend, is an excellent way of serving people with a special interest and of making use of curators’ knowledge.
