Unit 54 Working with conservators

In establishing work programmes for in-house or contract conservators, a detailed, written brief should be developed by the museum manager or curator, together with a schedule for the work programme. The programme should be an outcome of the wider conservation planning discussed in Unit 53. Both parties should agree the brief and schedule, and work should be undertaken within this contractual framework.
