ABSTRACT

It is essential to ensure that there are clear project objectives established and agreed from the outset between the client and the architect. The options analysis and feasibility process will have provided the client team with a clear idea of what they want to achieve through the development project, although as the project develops there may be a need to revisit thinking in a number of areas. It is their responsibility to communicate this effectively to the project architect so that a creative solution can be achieved to meet their needs. It follows that a clear understanding of each other’s role and responsibility is essential.
