ABSTRACT

We start with a brief résumé of the main thesis advanced in the book. We then explore some of the implications of this study and some unresolved questions.

10.1 RÉSUMÉ

We can return to the central hypotheses set out at the start of the book, where two contrasting but not incompatible propositions were set out. The first was that rapid change which is consistent with a widely accepted vision of the future for a technology and market will tend to be concentrating. The second was that radical change which conflicts with widely held visions will tend to be deconcentrating.
