ABSTRACT

Dear Consultant: I need help with money management in my group. My group agreements require patients to pay me at the beginning of the group as they come into the room. I hand patients a receipt at the end of each month. They are allowed to miss two sessions per calendar year for free, regardless of when they join the group. This agreement rolls over again each January 1. An explicit part of the agreement is that billing and payment issues are group business and are discussed in the group.
