ABSTRACT
Sometimes a final assembly tolerance requirement is known, and tolerances must be
determined that will allow the final requirement to be met. This is commonly encountered
where assembly level or finished product level objectives have been set. For example,
automotive and truck body panels must meet predetermined design and manufacturing
objectives for quality and fit. The final assembly tolerancing requirements must be met
when all the subcomponents are assembled.
