A Orlistat

Because of their high energy content and low potential for inducing satiety, high-fat diets are conducive to overconsumption and weight gain, particularly in individuals who are relatively inactive. Indeed, humans are much more likely to become obese through the excessive consumption of dietary fat than by excess consumption of carbohydrate (7). It is therefore reasonable to decrease the proportion of fat as well as the total number ofcalories. By reducing fat absorption after ingestion, a continued calorie deficit may be maintained more easily over the long term than by dieting alone. Lipase inhibition may help in this strategy to reduce fat absorption.
