ABSTRACT
The authors in their contribution describe the present state of closing the underground uranium mines in particular ore districts, inform about procedures and methods used in closing, about the dealing with water conditions and disposal of mine waters after finishing the mining operations, about securing the stability of mine workings open to the surface and the removal of mining effects on the surface. At the end of this contribution, the authors tried to generalise some principles applicable to the closure of an underground uranium mine.
