ABSTRACT
The concentration of activated sludge in an aeration tank depends on the reflux ratio and the concentration of sludge itself, which will affect the design for sludge treatment system. A new formula for calculating optimal concentration of activated sludge in aeration tank and for determining the optimal reflux ratio is put forward in this paper.
