ABSTRACT
It is important to ensure the security of the hoisting system because of its important pole in the mine manufacture. Improving the safety of the hoist system simultaneously improves the productivity Digital technology brings more security and reliability in mine hoist system. A three-layer modern digital technology based monitoring system, which includes the PLCs, HMI station and the management stations, is proposed in this paper. The result of the site operation of the new system shows that, this system can apparently improve the security of the hoist system, and the time spent on the maintenance of the system is dramatically decreased compared to the analogue monitoring system. Thus the efficiency of the hoist system is greatly improved.
