ABSTRACT
In China, there are a lot of seams which are great in dip angle, variation of thickness and hardness of roof. For instance, Beijing western coalfield, Xinwen coalfield and Zaozhuang coalfield in Shandong province etc. are all the difficult seams. As we know, how to extract the complicated bed seam is a difficult problem. In this paper, the composite reinforcing mechanism of bolt and rock is discussed, a grid shape or ortho-net shape layout of gates, connections and cuts is put forward. In connections and gates, explosion by deep hole of seam is used to fragmentate the coal seam. It makes possible pull out the coal fragments to the conveyer belt by mechanical scraper, and realize the workface without worker. The new mining technique is safe because of no worker is needed in work face. It is available for the similar seam condition of thickness of 1.5 m–6m and dip angle of 0°–40°. contribution for mining technology.
