ABSTRACT

Characteristics of commonly used in-mine electrical methods, such as full space effect, the influence of free air in roadway, metal shoring, and rail and man-made noise were analyzed. And the observation method, digital processing method as well as data interpretation were put forward based on hydrogeological features of coal mines so that the prospecting precision and application effect can be improved. Lots of application and typical cases show that the in-mine electrical methods can be widely used in detecting water conductive communications in vertical direction such as concealed faults and fissure zones, in ascertaining the thickness of both aquifer and aquifuge of the floor, in detecting the development of karst of limestone, and in detecting the water-rich area and permeable passages in the area where the roof caving may take place.
