ABSTRACT
Professor Christopher Andrew, the British historian and intelligence specialist, maintains there exists a serious gap in books about most world leaders, including American presidents: a lack of treatment of their role as consumers of intelligence. Andrew sought to correct this lacuna in his book, For the President’s Eyes Only: Secret Intelligence and the American Presidency from Washington to Bush.1
