ABSTRACT

Currently applied solutions in the field of excavating competent ores of widths lower that the height of machines currently used in traditional methods, have been extensively discussed and presented in various publications. For example in paper (Butra, Dębkowski, Kosior 2003) the authors have quite comprehensively presented techniques & technologies applied in the process of extracting copper ore deposits of low thickness. At the current state of knowledge, not one of the proposed and applied solutions eliminates the problem of output dilution, which is inherent to any particular exploitation method.
