ABSTRACT: The subject of the paper is to analyse the possibilities of permanent elimination of water inflow to underground and opencast mine workings on the basis of the currently available technologies. There is a presentation of the up-to-date experience in this area on the basis of the works carried out in Poland and worldwide. Ecological and financial results of water inflow limitation to the mining workings will be demonstrated.
