ABSTRACT
Electrochemical migration is a generic term applied in general to the migration of metal atoms and metal ions. In this chapter, the term “electrochemical migration” is used to indicate the electrochemical phenomenon in which substances such as moisture and dew condensation occurring between PWB electrodes cause metal ions to migrate from one electrode to the opposite electrode, producing a buildup of deposits composed of metal or chemical compounds.
