ABSTRACT
The individual chapters in this volume have spoken for themselves, and some have made links with others to reveal common themes. Furthermore, this editor has already had opportunities elsewhere to express his own views on the moral terrain which we are exploring (Smith 1997c, 1998a), as well as on specific issues at the interface of geography and ethics (Smith 1997a, 1997b, 1998b, 1999). All that is required by way of conclusion, then, is a reminder of major issues which have surfaced in the text, along with a few connections to other relevant work in the field.
