The key words in the preceding paragraph are ‘objective evidence.’ Objective evidence is generated following completion of a number of formal and informal
activities, many of which must be completed in a predefined order. These activities comprise the SLC. The work products of each phase in the SLC provide the objective evidence that is required to demonstrate that the computer system conforms to the needs and intended uses of the user, and that all requirements can be consistently fulfilled.
