ABSTRACT
So far in this volume we have described how the men in this study became non-resident fathers, their present socio-economic circumstances and the patterns of contact they had with their non-resident children. In the preceding chapter the factors that influenced fathers' contact with their children were explored quantitatively. In this chapter we seek to enrich those findings from the insights gained from the first qualitative study of twenty in-depth interviews.
