ABSTRACT
An investigative listening approach can be taken to music of any kind, encountered in any way. For example:
• songs sung together; • recorded music brought into the classroom on audio or video
tape;
• music used for dance, worship, or celebrations; • music made live by visiting performers-parents, friends and
others.
