Scale and scope economies

Now that we have estimated frontiers for all countries in our data set (see the previous chapter), we can also calculate scale and scope economies using Equations (6.3) and (6.4). We report scale and scope economies per country, based on fixed-effect frontier estimations and focus on output-specific and total results.1
