ABSTRACT

In Chapter 2, the main factors in the Chinese socio-economic system were revealed in the light of their origins, extents, and importance in the longterm economic history of China. Also, interrelationships between these factors were referred to, though in a very limited way. Such interrelationships suggest a greater system embracing all these main factors. More significantly, the duration of these factors in Chinese history suggests some kind of individual equilibria in the relevant areas.
