Cumulatively these four reports had, by October 1967, cleared the path for the introduction of a comprehensive Bill.

THE RACE RELATIONS ACT 1968: AN OUTLINE

The Race Relations Act 1968 largely repealed the Act of 1965 with the exception of the provisions relating to restrictions on the disposal of tenancies (previously referred to) and public order (Section 6).
