ABSTRACT

Chapters 6 and 7 have presented the perspective on urban change used in the following three chapters; in particular, the importance and inter-relationships of the various agents of change in the built environment, and the practical implications of the LPA policymaking and development control systems in general. Chapters 8, 9 and 10 examine the key questions posed in Chapter 1 through micro-scale case studies using this perspective of urban morphological study.
