ABSTRACT
Nuran is a woman in her thirties, firmly determined to make an academic career. When I talked to her she was about to complete her PhD thesis. She has a position as an assistant teacher, and also contributes articles to different newspapers and magazines from time to time. Nuran is married and a mother of two children. The eldest son was thirteen years old at the time of the interview.
