ABSTRACT
The Kirghiz enjoy full Soviet citizenship. They are found in all occupations and in all income brackets. Their standard of housing is comparable to that of other national groups in the Soviet Union. The women go out to work, though possibly less so than elsewhere in the Soviet Union.
