ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we look at a number of aspects of social development: the arts, radio, television, the press, sport, and the role of women in Saudi Arabian society. Our purpose in providing a simple overview of these aspects of social activity is to demonstrate that, amidst all the major projects undertaken as part of the developmental process, social development has not been neglected.
