ABSTRACT
IN 1956 Cyril Aldred published a study of datable royal statuettes of cast metal which represents perhaps the earliest attempt to isolate New Kingdom and Third Intermediate Period bronzes from those of the Late Period.1 The present article will introduce some Egyptian bronzes in the Fitzwilliam Museum and review and supplement those enumerated by Cyril Aldred.2
