ABSTRACT
It is a certainty that we will soon witness a great flood of foreign workers flowing into Japan. In recent years it has become commonplace to see Asian women in the red light districts, but foreign faces have also become increasingly conspicuous on our streets and in our trains. It is no longer difficult, either, to find foreigners working in coffee shops, restaurants and bars.
