ABSTRACT
TheNationalWildlifeResearchCenter(NWRC),nearTaif,Saudi Arabia,wasestablishedin1986withthesingleaimofbreeding houbarabustardsincaptivity.Now,nineyearslater,theNWRC hasexpandeditsworktoincludethecaptive-breedingandreintroductionofotherendangeredArabiananimals,butthehoubara programmeremainsthecoreproject.
